On Sunday, 30 August 2026, Assist. Prof. Dr. Awara Hussein, Director General of the LPO, participated in a training session by delivering a presentation entitled:

“Relevant International Laws and Rules Concerning Missing Children and Their Families: Mechanisms for Benefiting from Them.”

The training session was held in the city of Halabja on the occasion of the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances. It was organized by the Halabja Chemical Victims Society, in cooperation with the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP).
